The family of NRM Party’s National Treasurer Hon. Rose Namayanja is in shock after their residence in Masooli, Kasangati, Wakiso District consecutively caught fire under mysterious circumstances.
NRM’s communication officer Mr. Rogers Mulindwa confirmed on Saturday, that a team of investigators led by Police are at Namayanja’s home probing two separate incidents of mysterious fire that gutted the house on Thursday evening, and again on Friday morning leaving family members in horror.
According to Rogers Mulindwa, on Thursday evening, fire caught the extension of the main house that serves as the gym located about 30 metres from the main house and razed it down to ashes.
On Friday morning at around 8:00am, family members again rose to a rude shock when fire mysteriously broke out in the living room of the main house and destroyed most of the property.
However, all occupants of the house including Hon. Namayanja and her husband escaped with no injuries. Mulindwa said.
The source of the fire remains unknown, and police has since cordoned Namayanja’s home as a scene of crime.
