Panic at Judiciary as C.J makes a Shake-up in Judicial Officers

Tension has risen at the Judiciary following a series of changes that have seen several officers either transferred to new posts, while others have been recalled from leave.

The latest transfers mainly affected registrars and lower magistrates, and according to the Chief registrar Esta Mbayo, the transfers took effect starting 9th August 2019.

The latest shake-up has seen Her Worship Gladys Nakibule recalled from sabbatical leave and posted to Lira as Deputy Registrar, H/W Kwizera Amos recalled from leave and sent to Mbarara as Deputy Registrar, H/W Cissy Mudhasi transferred from Mukono to Jinja as Deputy Registrar, H/W Fred Waninda posted to Masaka as Deputy Registrar, H/W Harriet Ssali from Jinja to Mukono, Samuel Emokor from Land Division to Lira as Deputy Registrar.

H/W Nabakoza Flavia has also been transfered from the Executions Division to the Land Division as Deputy Registrar, H/W Sempala Doroth Lwanga is the new Ass. Registrar at the Executions Division.

H/W Mukasa Sanyu is the new magistarte Grade 1 Nabweru, H/W Muhimbise Gordon is the new Magistrate Grade 1 Mbarara, while H/W Mangeni Marion has been transferred from Nabweru to Buganda Road.

The shake-up comes at the heels of the transfer of Mr. Pius Bigirimana to the judiciary as the new Permanent Secretary a week ago, replacing Kagole Kivumbi who was sent on forced leave.
